MageHand provides a simple life counter for playing games like Magic: The Gathering. Profiles can be used to keep track of player rankings, or to track the win rates of your various decks.

The app features a simple touch and drag interface for adjusting life totals.

MageHand also features a set fantastic profile illustrations to add character to your gameplay experience.

Future updates will include Gatherer search interface, additional profile graphics, and tournament organization.

I’m really digging this app, so I have a suggestion: give an option to use a picture from the iPhone camera roll for a player’s profile picture. That would open the door for much more than a dozen artwork choices.

Alot of users are suggesting the very same thing, so in the next update, I’ll be including this feature. Please let me know of anything I can do to make the app better.

Great app guys. Me and my friends use this daily now! Love what you’ve done.

I have a suggestion – allow sorting of the lists by name and/or by win percentage. We have over 60 different decks in the program now and it would make it a lot easier to organize with some automatic sorting.

Also, some sort of basic timer for things like when players are taking a while to think. For example we like to limit deck building in our drafts to 5 minutes. We also have a rule that no phase can take longer than 30s. If there was an x sec countdown timer below each players portrait in a game that you could just click to start and then click to reset it would be very nice for us.

Last, there seems to be a bug when you use custom photos and then try to re-arrange the position of a profile(deck) in the profile list. It waits a while and then crashes (or crashes on next load) and then reverts to the previous arrangement of profiles.
